Golden milk, traditionally known as Haldi Doodh, is a warm, spiced drink rooted in Ayurvedic food traditions. This version stays true to the ritual while adding a subtle savory depth with a splash of grass-fed beef bone broth.
The broth doesn’t overpower—it simply rounds out the spices and adds body to the cup. Combined with milk, turmeric, and warming aromatics, the result is earthy, comforting, and gently grounding. It’s a cozy evening drink that feels intentional without being fussy.
Makes one 8-oz beverage.
Ingredients
- 4 oz Reclamation Grass-Fed Beef Bone Broth
- 1 tsp golden milk spice blend*
- 4 oz milk of choice (coconut milk works especially well)
- Raw honey, to taste
*We like Diaspora’s haldi doodh masala for its bold, fragrant spice profile.
Method
- In a small saucepan, bring the bone broth to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Sift in the golden milk spice blend and whisk until fully combined.
- Add the milk and honey, continuing to whisk as the mixture warms. Heat just until small bubbles form at the edges.
- Remove from heat and froth with a handheld milk frother, or whisk vigorously.
- Pour into a mug and sip slowly. Warm, spiced, and deeply comforting.
