Why Our Bone Broth is Different

Crafted with care, cooked to perfection

Grass-Fed & Pasture-Raised

Our bones come from animals raised on open pastures, ensuring the highest quality and nutrient density.

Traditionally Prepared & Slow-Cooked for 12+ Hours

We cook our broths the old-fashioned way to extract maximum collagen, minerals, and amino acids.

No Additives or Preservatives

Just two ingredients (bones and water) for pure, wholesome broth. No fillers, no shortcuts, no compromises.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The history of broth in Korea is about nourishment, not just flavor - and that's why our broth tastes so good, because it's satisfying in a way your body will recognize.

Virtually all broths at your typical grocery store are made in the French or Italian style. They're brown or amber, translucent, and they serve their own purpose - but there's so much more to broth!

Korean-style bone broth is simmered for 12-24 hours to extract maximum nutrients, collagen, and flavor from the bones. Our traditional preparation method creates an emulsion of the marrow, collagen, and other proteins. The result is a broth that's clean and rich in flavor, and milky white and opaque in color.

  • Bone broth is known for its many benefits, including gut and digestive health, reducing inflammation, supporting immune function, muscle recovery and growth, supporting healthy joints, improved skin elasticity and reduced wrinkles, stronger and healthier hair and nails, and improved sleep and cognitive function.

These benefits come mostly from the collagen, gelatin, and important amino acids like glycine and glutamine that are extracted from bones in the cooking process. However, most bone broths are not actually made from bones and instead use extracts, flavorings, and colorings to replicate the taste and appearance of broth.

To get these nutrients and the benefits that come with them, make sure to get real bone broth, or make it yourself at home. When buying bone broth, check the ingredients to make sure they're primarily bones. To test for collagen and gelatin, put the broth in the fridge - if it doesn't gelatinize and jiggle, it lacks the nutrients to provide you the benefits of bone broth.

  • Reclamation bone broths are so rich in collagen that they jiggle when chilled, just like a good, homemade broth. We're the only shelf-stable bone broth with enough collagen and gelatin to actually gelatinize and jiggle once refrigerated. The jiggle test is the clearest indicator of quality as well as collagen and gelatin content.

  • We make our bone broth from scratch with high-quality bones from sustainably-raised animals, long cook times to extract maximum nutrition, and careful attention to detail, skimming out all the impurities during cooking.

This traditional process creates a superior product that simply can't be replicated with the shortcuts often used in mass production. Many boxed competitors try to simulate bone broth with extracts, flavorings, and colorings instead of cooking real broth from scratch. Those competitors essentially make meat-flavored water as opposed to real bone broth.

Ultimately, you get what you pay for. We know our broth is more expensive, and we aim to be able to bring prices down as we grow, but we refuse to compromise on quality - and quality takes time and care.

  • Both! Many customers enjoy our broths both ways depending on their mood and needs. Reclamation bone broths are versatile enough to be enjoyed as a warm, nourishing drink with just a bit of salt, or used as a flavorful addition to any recipe.

Use our broths to replace some or all of the water in any recipe - use it for braises, noodles, rice dishes, mac and cheese, beans, heating up leftovers, or even cocktails and lattes!

Or just heat it up with a dash of salt and sip it from a mug for a cozy pick me up.

  • For a standard bowl of ramen or rice, use about 1-2 cups of Reclamation bone broth. You can adjust based on your preference for richness and flavor intensity. Reclamation broth can also be diluted with water if you prefer a lighter taste.
