A jar of Reclamation Foods Korean-style bone broth beside a cup of matcha latte made with broth

Tokyo Drift: A Nourishing Broth-Based Matcha Latte

Sweet, earthy matcha meets a quietly confident, savory backbone in this creative latte that's equal parts ritual and revelation. The broth adds warmth, depth, and a little umami swagger, while full-fat coconut milk and a touch of vanilla keep things plush and creamy. It's nourishing, energizing, and just unusual enough to become your new afternoon favorite.

Makes one 8-oz beverage.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Reclamation Grass-Fed Beef Bone Broth
  • ½ tsp high-quality matcha
  • 2 oz coconut milk (look for the canned kind with minimal ingredients)
  • Dash of vanilla extract (considered ⅛ tsp; we use an eye droplet for ~6 drops)
  • Raw honey or maple syrup, to taste

Method

  1. Warm the bone broth to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat, or microwave for 1–2 minutes until steaming.
  2. Sift the matcha into a mug using a fine strainer to prevent clumps.
  3. Pour just enough hot broth over the matcha to cover it, then whisk until smooth and vibrant.
  4. Add coconut milk, vanilla extract, and sweetener of choice. If available, use a handheld frother to mix ingredients for a better blend and fluffier texture. Otherwise, stir vigorously with a whisk to incorporate.
  5. Top up with the remaining broth. Sip and savor: creamy earthy, rich, and unlike any matcha latte you've had before.
